Brief Description:  Left wing fuel tank part #33

Almost there! Finished working a 12 hour night shift at 5:00am this morning, got up at 1100 and hit the garage as the family was out for the day.

Cleaned up the flanges of the ribs, removed and cleaned the Z-brackets from the spar, marking them for the proper orientation, soaked and cleaned the necessary rivets in acetone for the Z- brackets and setup for the sealant.

I masked off the area in front of the baffle to get a nice clean edge of proseal. I then mixed a batch up, layers it on the flanges first, and then ran a bead down the edge of the baffle and then on the skin where the baffles met.

I placed the baflle in place and started to 100% cleco the top and bottoms skins to the baffles. Once down, I then moved onto the Z brackets, layered the back of them, clecoed in place and then used the pop rivets to set them. The rivets of course were dipped in proseal and a dab was placed in the hole. The rivet was set and then the rivets were covered and the edges of the Z bracket tidied up.

After the 3rd Z bracket was set, my pop riveter broke! I ran out to the hardware store, bought a cheap one, grinded it down and finsihed off the other ones. the inboard and outbard Z brackets were clecoed in placed and I will wait for the proseal to harden before squeezing those and the skin to baffles rivets.
